Russian Morse Timing

Russian Morse uses the same dot, dash, character gap, word gap, and playback timing principles as International Morse code.

Russian and International Morse

The signaling rhythm is shared, but the Russian alphabet maps Cyrillic letters and includes Russian-specific assignments.

Е and Ё Share One Code

Both letters use ., and the chart displays them as Е / Ё. Decoding returns canonical Е.

Hard and Soft Signs

  • Ъ: --.--
  • Ь: -..-

The chart preserves a distinct code for Ъ; some practical conventions use the Ь signal instead.

Russian Punctuation

This implementation uses the cited traditional table and includes = . , ? / ! : - _ ; ' " ( ) @. Modern practice may use International punctuation. Unsupported extensions such as &, +, and $ are deliberately rejected in Russian mode.
